Like feathery breeze caressing my face, a delicate thing, Eternity has touched my time, and set me once again in stillness, satisfied. No minutes pass, and yet my soul is freshened, my heart revived. As though this murmur was His kiss, His bread and wine.

This image was inspired by the poem "The Whisper" by Gary Wiens.

The Whisper By Gary Wiens

A whisper comes, small, faint, and easy to miss, But spoken in a language I am learning to recognize. Cutting through the noise, quiet yet compelling, Beckoning my heart to the real and the true.

Suddenly the grayness of this realm is exposed. What has seemed like substance is seen as vapor, What has seemed like wisdom is known as false, As Heav'n's fragrance passes by, ev'n for a moment.

In this instant I see clearly, knowing how things are. In this heartbeat's time I know my place and yours, And am content to wait for Him to make it plain, To set all things in place by justice and by mercy's plan.

Like feathery breeze caressing my face, a delicate thing, Eternity has touched my time, and set me once again in stillness, satisfied. No minutes pass, and yet my soul is freshened, my heart revived. As though this murmur was His kiss, His bread and wine.

O, Heart of hearts, cause mine to see and know! Set fickle spirit in the truth of Heav'n's way, And let the fragrance of Your gentle, whispering wind Fill me once again with love and life divine.
